We will hear from Lauren McClave, PT, CTRI, Program Director at Hearts & Horses, about the difference between hippotherapy and therapeutic riding.
Lauren started working with Hearts & Horses part time in 2009 as a Physical Therapist providing therapy services. She retired in 2019 from her position as Director of Physical Therapy at The Wheatridge Regional Center, where she worked with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for nearly 30 years. She began her new career as Program Director in January 2020 and brings with her a wealth of experience both in the field of disabilities as well as horsemanship, being a lifelong equestrian. Her other hobbies include gardening, yoga, and reading.
