Our campaign started with a design contest for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’re happy to say that the winning design was created by Chrissy Krumm from Loveland, CO.

About the winning design:

My name is Chrissy Krumm, and I live in Loveland, Colorado. Since I was a girl, I have loved art in all forms! In living with Cerebral Palsy, my fine motor skills present many daily challenges. These challenges motivate me to be a life participant in anything that I can.

I really appreciate the art others create, and so one of my favorite activities is going to see as many art exhibitions as I can. I myself like to try to create by painting, making mixed-media pieces, and I was also a dancer with Dance Express for 14 years until my legs and feet became too painful to continue.

I love living in Larimer County, which is such a beautiful area and has the best services for people like me who live with intellectual and developmental A sample of the shirtdisabilities. So when I read about The Arc of Larimer County Strong contest, I felt inspired to create an original design and then collaborated on the final creation with my host home provider to bring my design to life.

I’ve now served as an advocate for people living with disabilities since 2002. I view this contest as another positive way to express my advocacy for others. I wanted my creation to emphasize how much I love that Larimer County embraces both disability and diversity. I hope you enjoy it!
