PSD is currently accepting applications for membership on the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) until October 1st, 2017.  SEAC’s purpose is to advise special education leaders on relevant topics presented and/or discussed by the group.  SEAC also provides educational workshops for the Poudre School District (PSD) community to support parents with knowledge related to special education.

SEAC’s vision is to facilitate partnerships between parents, general education, special education, and the community.  SEAC members focus on children and youth with disabilities and decisions made on their behalf, keeping at the forefront quality educational services.
We are redesigning our SEAC to fulfill our mission as an advisory group. This year, we are changing our format to become a more representational and consistent committee reflecting the demographics of our special education students.  We are inviting families with students of all grade levels with disabilities to apply for a seat on this committee.
  • Representatives will be asked to serve on the committee for two years and attend all SEAC meetings.
  • SEAC meetings will take place in the evenings from 6-7:30 pm at the JSSC Building, 2407 LaPorte Ave.
  • Meeting dates this school year are: October 26, November 30, February 22 and March 29.
  • Committee members will advise the Integrated Services (Special Education) Leadership Team on topics relevant to PSD special education and will work with the Integrated Services Department on various special education and parent focused projects.
Please consider applying for this opportunity for collaboration!
