Exciting News from The Arc of Larimer County

The Arc of Larimer County has hired Marilee Boylan as their new Executive Director.  Marilee comes to the Arc of Larimer County with 18 years of experience working for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Marilee is one of the original founders of the Arc of Larimer County which was established in 2007.  She worked 14 years as a Transition Specialist for Poudre School District in the field of supported employment, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to obtain paid work in the community.  Marilee plans to use her passion and collaborative community experience to broaden Arc of Larimer County’s community impact in providing advocacy and education for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families within the Larimer County communities.   Please join us for the next training opportunity!  Arc of Larimer County and Foothills Gateway are co-sponsoring a training on Person Centered Thinking at Arc of Larimer County, Saturday February 8th 11:00-2:00pm or Tuesday February 25th 5:30-8:30 PM at Foothills Gateway. Family members, friends and other interested persons are invited to join us in learning more about person centered thinking and the journey to support individuals to lead better lives.    The trainings will cover the basics of person centered thinking, including the driving philosophy behind person centered thinking and an overview of the skills that can be used to help ensure that services are person-driven and not agency-driven.
