The Arc of Larimer County has moved – and we are very excited to invite you and your family to our Open House on July 28th from 5:30pm-8:30pm at our new office at 1721 W. Harmony Rd., Unit 101 in Fort Collins.
Since being founded in 2007, we’ve been growing. Currently, The Arc of Larimer County has 8 employees, provides about 200 free advocacy hours a month, and holds free workshops for parents on a regular basis. All of this growth, however, means that the office located at 1121 W. Prospect Road no longer fit our current and still growing needs.
The new office is the result of years of work from The Arc of Larimer County staff, the Board of Directors, as well as generous donations. Besides being more centrally located in Larimer County, the new space will be better suited to expand with us as it has enough office for our expanding staff, a child-care room for children to play while parents attend free workshops, and The Arc Arbor, which will recognize generous donors to The Arc of Larimer County.
The Open House is your opportunity to come see the new space, visit with staff, and connect with other members of the community. We hope that you will join us! Everyone is welcome to attend, so please feel free to bring friends and family along with you.
This new office would not be possible without out our members. If you are not a member of The Arc of Larimer County, please consider joining today. You can simply visit www.arclc.org and click on “Become a Member.” Your support helps promote and protect the civil rights on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Larimer County.
Date: July 28st, 2016
Location: 1721 W. Harmony Rd., Unit 101, Fort Collins, CO
RSVP: As refreshments will be served, please RSVP to Charlotte Leon at firstname.lastname@example.org by July 21st to attend.
Suggested Donation: A toy from The Arc of Larimer County’s Wish Box at Learning Express.
A critical piece of the new office is the childcare room. Parents are frequently unable to attend free workshops provided by The Arc of Larimer County because of a lack of childcare, but now we will be able to provide free childcare. We’ve created a registry box at Learning Express with toys that we need for the childcare room. Toys purchased for The Arc of Larimer County through the registry box at Learning Express will be tax exempt and receive a 10% discount. To purchase an item from the registry, you can visit Learning Express in person at 2720 Council Tree Ave, Fort Collins, CO 80525 or call them at 970-282-6501. If you’d rather, you can also purchase a gift card for The Arc of Larimer County at Learning Express (we will then get the tax exempt and 10% discount when we buy what is still needed for the room). Toys in the box will be available for purchase starting July 11th.
We recognize that some individuals or groups would like to make significant financial contributions to The Arc of Larimer County. Starting immediately, The Arc Arbor will recognize these contributions. If you would like to learn more about The Arc Arbor, please click here. Anyone who funds a leaf prior to the July 21st will be specially honored at the Open House.
