The Arc of Larimer County’s Board of Directors Introduces Our New Executive Director

Dear Members and friends of The Arc of Larimer County,

Happy Fall! 2018 has already been an engaging and exciting year for all of us at The Arc of Larimer County. In this excitement, we are proud to announce our new Executive Director, Matt Cloven!

For those of you who do not know Matt Cloven, he has been working with The Arc of Larimer County since 2014 as the Lead Advocacy Specialist and most recently as the Acting Executive Director of The Arc of Larimer County. In this capacity, he has worked closely with our community families and agencies to promote and protect the civil rights of people who live with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD). Prior to this he has worked with people of all ages who live with I/DD for 16 years, both in Oregon and Colorado. Matt brings with him a passion and expertise in areas of Special Education, justice and I/DD, Medicaid waivers, and the many systems that impact the lives of people who live with I/DD. He is dedicated to continuing the momentum and setting a clear and bold vision for The Arc of Larimer County, bringing an emphasis on community collaboration, increasing community awareness, and continuing to provide quality advocacy services for all individuals who live with I/DD.

Marilee Boylan, an original founder of The Arc of Larimer County (2007) and Executive Director (2014-2018), was recently blessed with a baby boy and decided to step down and focus on her family. Marilee’s tenure with The Arc of Larimer County led the agency through incredible growth, earning respect throughout the community. With her decision to step down from The Arc of Larimer County, the Board of Directors reflected on the mission and values that our chapter stands for and who could best lead The Arc of Larimer County. After much consideration, they recognized the skills and passion that Matt would bring to the organization through his leadership, while maintaining the momentum for growth and quality services that the agency has come to be known for and provides to the community.

Matt is looking forward to working closely with all members of The Arc of Larimer County and the community at large. We hope you will join us in welcoming Matt Cloven and reach out to The Arc of Larimer County to help raise your voice for the rights and inclusion for all abilities. He can be contacted at mcloven@arclc.org.
