Did you know people with disabilities have a lower turnover than average and that employees with intellectual and developmental disabilities average an 85% retention rate after their first year?
Joyce Saffel, HR Director of Columbine Health Systems, will be joining The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce and area employers to share some impactful information about how Columbine has increased their return on investment and improved business efficiencies by hiring people with disabilities. Larimer County’s low unemployment rate is stretching hiring managers and business owners to think in new ways and look into new candidate pools to find the right person to hire and get their critical tasks accomplished. Join us in a thoughtful presentation and dialogue in the benefits to hiring a diverse workforce which includes people with disabilities.
Lunch is $15 for members of The Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce and $20/non-members. Please register by Noon on Monday, September 11 to secure your space. Register through the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Arc of Larimer County encourages everyone to share this event with employers and businesses you’d like to see hire people with disabilities. The content presented will be designed for hiring managers and business owners.
About The Chamber LUNCH ‘N’ LEARN SERIES:
The Chamber ”Lunch n’ Learn” Series is an innovative and creative program held on the second Tuesday of every month. Chamber members who are experts in their fields are invited to share their expertise with other Chamber members over the lunch hour. Each lunch will focus on topics related to professional and personal development.
The “Lunch n’ Learn” Series is held at the Chamber’s building from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost to attend is $15/lunch for Chamber members and $20 for non-members.
