Emmanuelle Ameroso

Emmanuelle holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice with an advanced certificate in Race & Criminal Justice from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University at Buffalo.
Before coming to The Arc of Larimer County, Emmanuelle gained eight years of experience in the field of criminal justice, within government as well as within the private & non-profit sectors. In these roles, she was exposed to various components of the legal system, both locally and nationally, from incarceration to reentry. Her experience also includes working with youth and adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities, with a special passion for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
In her free time, Emmanuelle enjoys working on campaigns to advance legal systems reform and decarceration efforts, whilst advocating for communities directly impacted by mass incarceration. She also enjoys cheering on the Buffalo Bills, paddle boarding Horsetooth Reservoir, and learning the difference between violin and fiddle.
