Reese Klotz
Peer Advocate
Reese Klotz began his advocacy work as a student at Colorado State University. After experiencing firsthand the lack of understanding of developmental disabilities in academic spaces, Reese remained at CSU to pursue a master’s degree in Communication Studies, concentrating their research on autistic adults’ perspectives on autistic identities and experiences. While conducting his research, Reese taught Public Speaking to undergraduates and discovered a love for mentorship both in and out of the classroom. As a Peer Advocate at The Arc of Larimer County, Reese is eager to utilize their skills as an educator and communicator to serve the wider community of Larimer County and beyond.
In his free time, Reese maintains several artistic hobbies, including knitting, crocheting, writing, and playing the cello. He also enjoys volunteering with the Poudre River Public Library District, learning the Spanish language, and trying new recipes with his partner.
