Nereida Perdigón

Bilingual Youth & Adult Advocate

Dr. Nereida Perdigón, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, has lived in the United States for 30 years and is passionate about empowering culturally diverse and neurodiverse communities.

She has over 16 years of experience in higher education, advocacy, and community support. Dr. Perdigón holds a Ph.D. in Human Studies and Education from Colorado State University and has served as a professor, mentor, and bilingual academic advisor from K-16. She has supported as a Family Coordinator at the Jacob Center Resiliencies part-time.

In addition to her work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Dr. Perdigón also advocates for survivors of domestic violence and mental health awareness. She is committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and self-advocacy for individuals and families navigating complex systems as well as supporting other minorities groups such as single moms, Latinos, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+.

In her free time, Nereida LOVES to watch Korean-dramas, read spiritual books, cook with her family and spend time with her 3 grandchildren and the little coco, our dog.
