Special Education Training

School is right around the corner – join The Arc of Larimer County and Disability Law Colorado for a free workshop.

Come to learn about what your child’s rights are in special education, including:

  • Evaluations
  • Disciplinary actions
  • Behavioral concerns
  • Transition (including a certificate of completion vs. a diploma)
  • Restrictions, including holds, restraints, seclusion, time out, egress

Jennifer Levin, Esq.
Education Team Leader, Attorney
Jennifer Levin graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991 and from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1994. She joined Disability Law Colorado in 2009 as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, sponsored by the law firm of Greenberg Traurig LLC. In 2011, Jennifer became a full-time employee working on the Individual Rights, Client Assistance, Beneficiaries of Social Security, and the Special Education programs. In 2014, Jennifer became coordinator of the Vote! Program, and in 2015, she became the leader of the Education Team, which focuses on rights of students in pre-school through 12th grade.  In addition to representing individuals with disability rights claims, Jennifer presents trainings on voting rights for people with disabilities, special education, and the rules governing restraint of school children with disabilities.
