    Small Business Owners, Managers, Employers, Recruiters, Human Resources Professionals - Join us for a free lunch and learn why your workforce should include people with disabilities.  Speakers will cover the basics of reasonable accommodations,  how a job coach can be a free resource, and how to get started.


    Patrick Hackney
    Executive Director, The Arc of Larimer County
    Accommodations for employees with disabilities can be initially intimidating for employers, but most accommodations cost no money and are relatively simple. Patrick will review reasonable accommodations, what they look like, and share best practices for employers. Patrick has a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and has worked in the Protection and Advocacy Organization for both Colorado and Alabama.

    Joyce Saffel
    Human Resources Director, Columbine Health Systems
    As the Human Resources Director for Columbine Health Systems, Joyce faces challenges staffing positions with high turnover. Columbine Health Systems partnered with Project Search to offer internships to PSD Students with significant disabilities & discovered in the process that hiring a diverse staff, including people with disabilities, is good for their bottom line.


    Katie Dockery
    Vice President of Northern Colorado Services, Easterseals Colorado
    Katie has been serving individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities since 2005. Katie is a graduate of Colorado State University with degrees in Social Work & International Relations, is a 2018-2019 BizWest 40 under 40 Honoree, & a Loveland Leadership graduate. She will speak on Job Coaches, how they benefit people with disabilities, & how an employer may be able to access a job coach for an employee with a disability at no cost.
