Join us for Outdoor Larimer-101 where participants will learn about accessible and inclusive ways to experience the benefits of spending time outdoors.
Research shows some of the benefits of nature include: increased happiness, increased mental & physical health, reduced stress & anxiety levels, improved memory, and improved creativity.
During the workshop participants will visit interactive stations to learn about hiking safety. Including trail safety, the Ten Essentials and Leave No Trace guidelines. After completion of the workshop participants will be prepared to participate in hiking opportunities with Trails for All, facilitated by Poudre Wilderness Volunteers.
If you plan to participate in future hiking opportunities with PWV Trails For All, and will need a support person to attend the hikes with you, we encourage you to have that person attend this workshop with you.
All participants will receive a goodie bag with outdoor essential items.
