Annelise Tate
Communications & Events Manager
Annelise’s advocacy journey began at Colorado State University with the Student Disability Center in the Fall 0f 2021. In August of 2023, she accepted a position as a Youth and Adult Advocate here at The Arc of Larimer County. After specializing in special education advocacy her first year, she transitioned into criminal justice disability advocacy where she worked alongside Criminal Justice Alternatives within the 8th Judicial District. Within this position, Annelise provided advocacy to juveniles and adults with IDD who were undergoing the criminal justice process.
Though passionate about boots-on-the-ground advocacy, Annelise found her calling when the Communications & Events Manager position became available. Believing ardently in the mission and vision here at The Arc of Larimer County, Annelise finds joy and purpose in increasing community awareness of who we are and what we do. Having served as an advocate, she feels privileged to spread the word about what advocacy is, what it can do for the folks we serve, what services we offer, and how our voices can create change — both within our community and legislatively.
Beyond her work in communications, events, and outreach, you can find Annelise lifting weights, spending time with her dogs and fiancé, and making beeswax candles out of her kitchen.
