Cari Brown has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and originally worked in marketing/advertising for various companies. However, all this changed when a family member was diagnosed with autism. Quickly, Cari was thrown into the world of advocacy and discovered how hard families must work to gain access to appropriate services and early intervention. Cari came to The Arc of Larimer County as a volunteer in 2014 and joined as a staff member in 2015. She loves The Arc’s unwavering mission to protect the civil rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and firmly believes that everyone benefits when people with I/DD are included in every aspect of community life.
